Please aid me to update my TCL. My tv android smart television but it just have some useless apps in its app store. Only useful app is Youtube and Mirrorcast , I don't have Netflix prime or an other applications. Too when i try to update , it says Its already the latest version so please help me to flash a proficient system and download link.

Could you help me to install this ? I tried the turning off and pressing the power button method just information technology didn't work , I also tried to manually get to settings and software update using USB , but it said no update bundle constitute even tho my USB is recognized past the TV

Yep sir i did extract the bin file and placed it on my USB, I tried it with a 8 GB USB Fat32.. Tried it on both USB 3 and USB 2 ports on TV.. It recognize my USB as a MEDIA Actor, just when i endeavor to manually exercise software update from USB it shows the bulletin " NO AVAILABLE UPDATE FILE , PLEASE INSERT USB DEVICE OR SD Menu WITH SOFTWARE PACKAGE"... I as well tried to open the media histrion and open the bin file merely information technology said I don't accept whatever application to open up information technology.

Try this.....found in older TCL pdf....
"Please save file 'V8-xxxxxxx-LF1VXXX.bin' at the root of the USB drive formatted in FAT32.
Put Telly on standby.
Insert USB drive in 'USB' slot of the Television set.
Press and maintain the ability push button of the TV until the front LED blinks.
Television receiver will update SW automatically, and shows popup menu to inform the user is updating."

"Please salvage file 'V8-xxxxxxx-LF1VXXX.bin' at the root of the USB drive formatted in FAT32.
Put Television set on standby.
Insert USB drive in 'USB' slot of the TV.
Press and maintain the power button of the remote until the front LED blinks.
Idiot box volition update SW automatically, and shows popup carte du jour to inform the user is updating."

Tried information technology merely the Goggle box justs turns ON and turns OFF again Turns ON and turns OFF .. repeats...as long as I'k holding the remote power push

Repeat same until printing and maintain the power button on Idiot box (not remote !)....until the front LED is blinking.
Equally soon equally it started blinking, y'all tin can release the push button (take out your finger from the button).
Television will update SW automatically, and shows popup menu to inform the user about the ongoing update......
Upgrade will take some time effectually ~7 to 10 minutes.
Do not switch off, unplug the power string or remove USB drive until upgrade is complete.
When reflashing is successful, Tv should restart automatically afterward 5 minutes.
Remove the USB drive from the USB port.

I updated it , thanks merely I there is no changes , still no netflix or whatever apps. So tin yous suggest some firmware of other tv model which I can install in this

Change Goggle box......wait for 2021 models, but if you in hurry tin can buy also 2020 models.
You can't flash other TV models firmware.

hello.
I have the same problem for my tcl 55P2US. and I can not update with the firmware v8-s68at02-lf1v198. Could y'all help me install it I tried turning off and pressing the power button method but information technology didn't work, I likewise tried to manually access settings and updating the software using USB, only no update package was found even though my USB is recognized by the TV. I fifty-fifty tried the final procedure mentioned above and it does not work yet. Thank you for finding a solution.

Effort V182 OTA file by local update in setting (or power push).
If same , endeavor different USB.

any uniform os to affluent my TCL Idiot box 65"P5 that i bought in china iii yrs ago. i want to alter it to global or whatever english speaking country os. i couldnt install youtube or whatsoever apps. help pls!
